Domain Name and Trademark Policy


Acoustica values its image as a company and Mixcraft's image as an award winning music production and multi - track recording workstation. Policies and guidelines are in place to protect and control that image and to protect Acoustica's trademark rights. We know that Acoustica's distributors, resellers and other organizations are doing excellent work in promoting Mixcraft and we respect those efforts and want the continued association with your organizations. We are confident that distributors, resellers and other organizations will be able to appropriately function and promote their organization, under the policy and guidelines presented.


Web Domain Name Policy


Section 1: Background

Internet domain names are used to identify a business, organization, product, institution, or other entity in cyberspace. A domain name is a unique identifier that allows the creation of e-mail addresses, web pages, and other Internet - based services.


Section 2: Unified Domain Name Requirement

In order to protect our trademarks, create a cohesive web identity and to ensure the integrity of Acoustica's commitment to a unified web presence, we have established the following guidelines with respect to domain names including the words "Acoustica" and "Mixcraft" in the primary url. We hope to maintain and eliminate any misrepresentations, unprofessional page layouts, outdated copy, images, logos, feature lists, technical specifications and expired promotions.


Section 3: Domain Name Guidelines

Acoustica acknowledges that some current distributors, resellers and other organizations are registrars of domain names including the words "Acoustica" and "Mixcraft" in the primary url. Registrars creating content on these domain names should meet the following requirements and guidelines:


  1. All "Acoustica" logo's should be downloaded from Acoustica's Logos/Art page website.

  2. All "Mixcraft" fonts, boxes and screenshots should be downloaded from Acoustica's Logos/Art page website.

  3. All references to Mixcraft should be current including versions, features, technical specifications and promotions.

  4. Registrars should make a good faith effort to create professional and representative content.


Section 4: Domain Name Transfer

Acoustica acknowledges that some current distributors, resellers and other organizations are registrars of domain names including the words "Acoustica" and "Mixcraft" in the primary url. Should a registrar's domain name not meet the requirements and guidelines listed in Section 3, or in its' judgment, should Acoustica deem a registrars domain name unprofessional or misrepresentative, Acoustica reserves the right to pursue the transference of these domain names in which a distributor, reseller or other organization is the registrar. Acoustica we will act in good faith to negotiate the transference of that domain name to Acoustica wherein the registrar and Acoustica mutually agree.
