Step
1: Find your photo
In my case, I decide to use a photo of our favorite,
no-longer-with-us family dog "Luke". I scan in the
photo to my hard drive with my scanner. If you don't have either a digital
camera or a scanner, your local photo processing service may be able
to create a CD when you get your film developed.
With the photos on my computer, I open the CD Label Maker software
and click the Disc tab .
Next, I click the Art Search tab .
To locate Luke's picture, I leave the Search For box blank
and select "All" from the File types drop down
menu and click Search. This type of search will find
all the images and art on my computer.
Step
2: Add your photo
I right click the photo (in the Art Search window) and select "add to label".
Moving the cursor over edges of the photo allows me to re-size the photo (the
cursor becomes a double sided arrow). If I place the cursor
within the image, I can drag the whole image wherever I choose (the
cursor becomes a hand). In addition, the tool bar on the
bottom lets me rotate the photo or place the photo in front or back
of other images. I experiment with other options by right
clicking the photo on the label until I get the
result I want.
Step
3: Add your songs
Clicking the tracks button on the tool bar
allows me to enter my song list in the Label Contents window.
I put a “check” in the Display tracks on current label
box. The list now appears on the label. I adjust the
track list in the same way that I adjusted Luke's photo.
Step
4: Add a title
Finally, I add a title to the CD. I do this by
clicking the new text button on the toolbar. I type in: “The Canine Howls",
re-size and position it until I find the best
location.
Step
5: Print and Apply
I’m ready to print!
I insert my stock label paper, press Print and out comes my finished creation. I stick it
on the CD and I'm done!!!
