This Issue: MP3 CD Burner 2.0 released and a CD Label Maker sale!

Welcome to the newest edition yet of the Acoustica newsletter. Normally we like to start off with some light banter or a few pleasantries about the weather, but this week we have news we can't wait to tell everybody about: Acoustica MP3 CD Burner 2 is out!

This is the single biggest product upgrade we've ever done. If you took all the hours involved in this project and laid them end to end, they would reach back to sometime in the dawn of 2001. Also, we would want to know how you did that. If you took all the coffee, cola, and mountain dew consumed in the course of writing this upgrade and poured them into the Sahara, it would become a wet -- if sticky -- rain forest. And we'd want to know how you did that, too. What amazing people our newsletter subscribers are! And if you bought the CD Burner before we released version 2, then you would probably be pleased to learn that this upgrade is free for you. Even though it contains a veritable cornucopia of new features, including:

* CD Ripping - now you can copy all your CDs to your computer and create the world's most magnificent digital jukebox
* MP3 Tag Editing - you can finally correct all those artist, title, and genre typos in your MP3 files, and even add your own comments
* One-step CD tag information lookup via the Internet - not only can you rip your CDs now, but you can rip them without having to type in any track information
* A music library that lets you see all the music on your computer at once without any of that nasty searching through dusty subfolders, lets you browse your music collection by artist or genre, and lets you fix your MP3 tags in bunches -- just change the genre tag for an album, for instance, and the program will automatically correct the genre tags for all the songs in that album!

Special thanks to Brian and Joseph for doing all the work to get the CD Burner finished.

Yeah, but what about the Label Maker?
******************************************************
In addition to the new MP3 CD Burner, we've also released version 1.20 of Acoustica CD Label Maker. It's a more modest upgrade than our Burner bonanza, but it does contain a few things to tell you about:

* A bunch of new supported paper types
* Can now import .wmf clip art files
* Support for importing playlists that contain WMA sound files
* A bunch of minor details and bug fixes

As with the CD Burner, this upgrade is free for registered users.

Where can I get this stuff?

You can download the latest versions of both the CD Burner and the CD Label Maker here: (was a link to the special...and it's over now.)

And we think it would be a good idea, too.

Saving the Best For Last
******************************************************
So whoever heard of a company releasing version 2 of their CD Burner without doing something special to celebrate? Not us, that's for sure. Sending Brian home to sleep for a week just didn't seem like enough, so we decided we'd also have a sale just for our newsletter subscribers.

Here's the dirt:
* For one week starting today, Acoustica CD Label Maker is on sale for $19.95 (regularly $24.95).
* If you don't have the CD Burner yet, you can get the newest CD Burner AND the Label Maker for $49.90 (they normally retail for a combined $54.90).
* This sale is only for newsletter subscribers who download through the link we listed a few paragraphs back. You have to download from that URL to get the sale price.
* The sale ends at midnight US Pacific time, Thursday, October 10th.

Since we know that many of you are very busy people and you can't be bothered with scrolling up, here's the link again:
