There's been a lot of buzz lately regarding podcasts.
What is it? Why should you care? If you have a
creative side and ever wanted to get into the radio business
for next to nothing, this is your chance! |
This
type of opportunity only come around once in awhile.
Grab your mic and start broadcasting now! I've heard of some
overnight successes of people broadcasting from their bedrooms!
A
podcast is like a show that you can subscribe to over the Internet.
The show comes to your computer when its ready so that you can burn
it to CD, download it to your portable player or just listen to it
over your computer. (The term podcast comes from the iPod but
isn't dependent on an iPod as you might think.)
Where does Mixcraft come into the podcast picture?
1.
Use Mixcraft to create your MP3 file.
2. Upload your MP3 file to your website.
3. Update your podcast 'feed' with the latest 'show' or MP3.
4. Your subscribers suddenly get the latest show!

example podcast MP3 that I created today for my
hypothetical podcast show using Mixcraft. (I am a
software guy, not a radio guy...) |
Of
course, you'll need to get listeners. The best place to get
listeners is to post your podcast link all over the web, and slowly
over time you'll acquire listeners. More on creating your own
podcasts...
TIP:
Did you know that Mixcraft integrates with Acoustica CD/DVD
Label Maker? If you burn a CD in Mixcraft, you can run our
award winning label maker directly so you don't have to type in the
track information!
